Speed
Steve stared at the carbon fibre dashboard, breathed in the new car smell and floored the accelerator. Sue watched as the car screamed off into the distance, and in a couple of minutes it had vanished down the long, straight road.
Direction
Sue flipped open the compass, checked her bearings and headed off in the opposite direction to Steve. In fifteen minutes she had reached the destination, a mile distant from where she and Steve parted company. By this time Steve and his super fast car had devoured thirty glorious miles, each and every one of them heading in the wrong direction.
Speed matters. It matters to your customers, to your staff, to you and your competitors too. People want stuff faster than before. Speed matters.
And as important as speed is, it is nothing like so important as direction. Which way are you heading today?
Kudos to Ed, James and Steve for inspiring today’s blog post
