Last Monday I spent a hugely enjoyable day aboard the Midnight Star. Huge thanks to Cap’n Glenn Le Santo and my wonderful crew mates. We boated up The Regent’s Canal from Limehouse Basin to Camden Lock. On arrival I painted a quick water colour sketch of the lock and footbridge. I had nowhere to mix colours up and boy does it show! Still – I’m committed to sharing everything I paint so here it is. Carole said she likes the way the image fades out around the edges 🙂

  1. I think it’s pretty cool!! Especially for a beginner! As perfectionists, we will always see things that could be improved, in everything we do, but that doesn’t mean they’re not already pretty damn awesome as they are! 🙂

  2. Cheers Claire – this is my 13th attempt at trying to paint. I guess that still qualifies as beginner – I wonder when I move up a level?? 🙂 Thanks for your lovely feedback I appreciate it
