Oh boy, I’m in a lot of pain today. For the third or fourth day running, my upper right arm is screaming at me. Barely slept a wink last night, off to see the Doctor in a short while…here’s hoping.
I can currently only type with one hand so today’s pain heightened rant will have to be short.
I hate the term ‘Human Capital’. It’s demeaning and it reduces people to fleshy cogs in a corporate gearbox. Crushed by the wheels of industry. Just because it’s popular, doesn’t make it right, right?
I’m outta here – see you Down at the Doctors.

I couldn’t agree more, Doug. I’ve made it a personal guideline to try to only work with/for organisations that have Personnel departments rather than Human Resources departments – I want to be treated as a human to be valued and nurtured rather than just another resource to be exploited, worn out, and then replaced.
I hope the doctor can do something to reduce the pain and help your arm heal quickly.
Nice post, particularly one armed. In my experience some doctors will simply prescribe painkillers. A physiotherapist may be a good bet to sort out the underlying issue. Either way hope you’re feeling better really soon.
I couldn’t agree more and I think this Youtube video explains why you cannot manage people in the same way as you manage other resources in a business.
